The lottery will be held on Monday, February 12, 2025, at 4:30 PM, and notification will be sent by February 28, 2026.

To enter the lottery, students must submit an application before the deadline, and they must be eligible for the grade they are applying for, and be Baltimore City residents.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are now available at the link below. We are accepting applications for students entering grades Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 6th Grade.

For the 2025-2026 school year, Kindergarten students must turn five by September 1, 2024, and First Grade students must turn six by September 1, 2024. Students whose birthdays fall between September 2 and October 15 may be eligible to apply for early admission. More information about this process will be available in the spring.

This application is only for BIA West, located at 4300 Sidehill Rd in Southwest Baltimore City.

As a public charter school within the Baltimore City public school system, first preference is always given to residents of Baltimore City. Non-city residents may be considered only after all city residents on the list have been placed. A tuition fee of approximately $10,000 per year, to be arranged through the BCPS Office of Enrollment, will apply to non-city residents.
